Syncing new POI's

Sorry if this has been asked already, but...
I'm having trouble installing POI's on my T3. Whenever I try to hot sync with a new POI, I get an error message saying:
ERROR: The following file(s) could not be installed to the SecureDigital (SD) Card because there is no application on your handheld to open these files.
If you have recently installed such an application, please run that application and then perform a HotSync operation.

Having read one of the earlier posts, it suggests to install direct to the SD card - how do I do that?

There's a couple of ways I know of:

1. Buy a card reader
2. Get hold of a program called Card Export II http://www.softick.com/cardexport2/

Either way, you should end up being able to view the contents of your SD card as another drive on your PC. Then all you have to do is copy the POI files into your map folder on your card (eg "great_britain-map").

Hotsync has trouble because it doesn't recognise alot of file types unless they are palm-related (eg .pdb or .prc files), so it doesn't know what to do with them.
