I wonder if someone can help. I got a TTG 300 today (free with vauxhall), but stupidly without realising didn't back up my disk properly. I then downloaded the free camera software and it has stopped working completely. It just says no gps device when you switch it on. My computer won't recognise it either and says it has malfunctioned. I have a sd card reader and there are a couple of files on there that wont delete, the main one being pocketgps_uk_gatso.ov2. Can anyone help me as I am really disappointed that it wont work. Thanks

When the unit displays the message "no gps device" it's a hardware malfunction and has nothing to do with the card or the camera database.

Have you had it working at all. The message 'no gps' usually comes on when you first switch on, after a reset or after connecting to PC. Have you tried doing a reset, with a paper clip in the small hole under the unit?

With the card reader have you been able to back up all the files that you can to the PC? If you are confident that you have a good backup, especially the maps, I would do a reformat of the sd card, to get rid of what must be a corrupt file.

After the format, copy all the files back to the SD card. Try it to make sure it works.

Before you put any 'extra' files on, I would delete any un-wanted voices, maybe just keep the 1 for now. You can add others later.

In use you need about 2MB free, so keep an eye on that as you add extra files.
