Some advice please

Hi this is my first post and i am a complete novice to the gps world. I was looking at the Navman pin570 and noticed it was well priced for what it is. Have had no luck finding an on line user manual so can someone please tell me what i would need to get along with the 570 so that i could send e mails using outlook express from the 570. I like the unit as it functions as several different things at once

Hi,

If you're wanting to send/receive emails using the Navman PIN 570 you will need a mobile phone which supports data (either dial-up or GPRS) with an infrared port.

First you need to set-up your email settings in Pocket Outlook, then on the PIN 570 do the following:

Select 'settings' then 'connections' and select 'add a new modem connection'. Call the connection whatever you want and select 'Generic IrDA' from the modem drop down box. It's then just a case of filling in your ISP details as you would on a PC.

When you've filled all the fields in, simply enable the IrDA 'beam' on both devices and initiate the connection - go to pocket outlook and hity send/receive.
