Hi
I got myself a new t/t 700 just over a week ago, but today it stopped working, when I go to switch it on, it plays a short burst of music and you get the two hand logo then the yellow bar scrolls across the bottom and it then turns its self off.
I got it from Amazon uk but all they said was to talk to Tom Tom, which I have sent an e-mail, but was wondering if anyone here might know what’s going on???
Cheers

Have you tried resetting the unit (the reset hole is at the bottom of the GO, the commonly used tool -a paper clip)? |

Hi,
Just gave that a go but still no luck does anyone know a phone number for tomtom, I have sent them a e-mail, but it will take 48hrs for a reply, and just contacted Amazon and told I can return it but will take up to 30 days.
And as seeing as I'm off for a 3 week driving holiday around the UK (2 weeks time ) I would realy like to get this thing up and running asap.
Cheers

I had been looking to buy something off Amazon Uk, but if that is how they treat their customers I will not buy off them.
Thanks for tha info.
Its not upto TomTom to sort your Go out, Its up to Amazon. |

Ah ok I thought he said it turned on and the yellow bar tried to load the operating system.just thought if it was a problem on the card it would not load, possibly re-bacup the card in a card reader might work.but of course I will bow to your superior knowledge Eldar. |

Try Amazon again as they are usually excellant when it comes to product after care. The gave me a full refund on my classic, which was 10 mths old because of the unusable screen in sunshine problem. I was so impressed by Amazon, I purchased my 700 from them.

thanks for all the replys, have tired evrything you good people have said but still not working.
So will send it back to Amazon tomorrow, and hopefully will not have to wait to long.
Did manage to get a tt 300 to use when on holiday ( my mate's ) but yet to use it, but was wondering if its the same as the 700, ( I know the 700 has a few more things) but the maps should be the same I hope ??
Anyway many thanks to you all
