|
|
This question applies to all PDA running Windows Mobile.
I wanted to know if it is possible to store the installation files for MEDION Navigator on a suitably sized SD card and to install onto the PDA directly from the SD card plugged into it.
At the moment if my PDA is HARD reset I have to re-install the Medion Navigator via my laptop. It installs some files on the laptop and then "sends" a package to the PDA which is automatically installed.
How can I get that "package" to stay on the PDA on the SD card so I could simply double click to install directly WITHOUT the laptop ?
Does anyone know ? |

That is exactly how it comes installed on the Aldi Medion version of the Mio 168 with Navigator 4.2 - a file called MEDION-Navigator.cab, and a folder with the Default map (UnitedKingdom Ireland MRE in my case)
Navigate to the card with File Explorer, and click on the cab file to install |

I formatted the card as I needed it urgently for my camera. I'm sur ethere must be a way to re-create the package on the SD card. |

The file I needed was MEDION-navigator.cab which is copied from the CD to the SD card. In the event of a hard-reset being required simply run MEDION-navigator.cab from the SD card. |

I misunderstood what you wrote. I thought you meant go and get the file from the SD card which of course was formatted.
Many thanks for your help. Obviously its been a long and tiring week for me and teh brain isn't working 100% (or 25% for that matter) !! |
