Sorry to start a new thread if this info is elsewhere, but I would like to know how to get TTN5 + Checkpoint working. I got so frustrated a few weeks ago I unistalled & went back to TTN3.
I kept getting - Application failed to start.
If it does all work now, can some kind person tell me exactly which versions of TTN5 & Checkpoint I need to install?
Thanks in advance. _________________ Andy |

Hi AndyTims
I have a Ipaq 2110 running TT5 and Checkpoint. I installed checkpoint when it first came available for TT5 but it failed dismally and I uninstalled it. I followed the forum for a while and when I read that checkpoint had sorted out the bugs (its now Checkpoint 5.02) I downloaded it. The advice on the forum was that one should also download the latest update for TT5 (TT5.01) and install it before installing checkpoint. I installed both, and Bingo, it all works a treat. I have travelled many miles since installing and have never had any trouble at all. There is one snag that irritates some people and that is the speed camera warning sign that comes up on the screen as one approaches a camera tends to flicker. However, one can turn that off in the checkpoint general settings/show warning information. I have wav file warning sounds that bring me to full alert as I approach a camera and hopefully my driving licence will remain clean |

Why do you even need it?
Looks like TTN5.1 has all the features CP adds? |

TT5 POI warning is rubbish in my opinion, I would rather be warned of a POI in a time than a distance. Warning speed camera in 30 secs at any speed is easier to react to than 250 yards. |
