I think I have settled on the mda compact from here:

As it is amazingly cheap!
Next on the list is the GPS receiver. Anyone got any suggestions? The Sirf III Globalsat looks and sounds good but seems pricey. Main use for sat nav will be in the car so a wired one would be fine I guess, any suggestions? |

If you only need a GPS for car use I would recommend a Holux GR-213, which is a mouse GPS. It has all the features of its big brother 236Slim, except bluetooth, for a lower price. An advantage of the mouse receiver is that you don't need to do any manual connection stuff as with a bluetooth receiver. Just plug it into your PDA and start your navigation program. The only good reason for buying a bluetooth receiver would be when you really need it outside your car.

Went with the Holux 236Slim BT amzed at how small it was! Can envisage a couple of situations where it might be handy to have mobile GPS so went with the BT option. Thanks for the advice guys. |
