How does the weather work?

A good topic of conversation in Britain, but specifically relating to my TomTom GO 500, when I try to view weather for my home address (Cambridge, UK) it attempts to connect to the server but then just returns to the menu screen.

The connection to my phone is working OK (Nokia 6680) as I can get Traffic information, make phone calls etc.

Have I missed something? How is the weather information displayed? Is it just that it is only available for certain locations?

PS. Thanks for the help I've got from this forum so far. I've been lurking for a week or so and I've got much more out of my GO than I would otherwise have done.

Hi there,

Weather is launched and has been for at least a few weeks - you should see a screen giving you a full weather report on the nearest City.

Although I'm not sure why your's isn't working - I'd try it again just in case there has been any issues with the service.

If you still have trouble check your service subscription.
