NAVIGATOR 5 INSTLLATION PROBLEM

Help after 50 attempts to get through to tomtom support they promissed to send me a email to resolve my first problem which they never did .
My first probem is after downloading a city map from tomtom ,every thing was a fine at first but i havent used tomtom navigator 5 for about two weeks and when i did could not switch between my city map and uk map.
Because the map of uk not present ,tried removing sd card and then deleted all tom tom files to start again. But now when i install sd card i get no response checked file explorer on my xda2i all it says is download and i cant open it help please as i need my tomtom working for when i go on holiday in a weeks time
