:D
I think I've managed to get custom sounds into my Navman 520 for the Speed Camera Database.
After you import the .csv file the Navman creates a series of files in the...
\Storage Card\Navman\MyPOI
...folder. I called my POI "SPEEDCAM" so my files are...
SPEEDCAM.BM
SPEEDCAM.CHK
SPEEDCAM.INI
SPEEDCAM.MAP
If you copy original SPEEDCAM.INI to your PC it looks like this...
[SPEEDCAM]
active=1
distance=200
time=0
visualWarning=1
soundWarning=1
I've copied a small .wav file into the same folder and called it camera.wav, its PCM format, 11KHz, 8bit, mono. Then I've added a line to the SPEEDCAM.INI file so it looks like this...
[SPEEDCAM]
active=1
distance=200
time=0
visualWarning=1
soundWarning=1
soundfile=camera.wav
I've renamed the SPEEDCAM.INI file in the Navman to SPEEDCAM.INI.BAK so I don't lose it and copied the amended SPEEDCAM.INI in it's place. So far it works fine.
I now need to import several different POI's, gatso, specs, etc, and see if I can get each to play a different .wav file. |

Not sure what you mean?
The camera.wav file I used is a spoken "Warning...speed camera ahead!" |

Seem to recall this being mentioned before and I have the feeling that it uses the same sound file for all POI warnings and you can't tailor specific sounds to specific POIs. |
