Losing Settings Help Please.

I have used the search feature but cannot find an answer to my problem.

I have TTM5 running on my Nokia 6680. It all runs ok but I have the following problem. When I first put it on the phone, it would not hold my favorites and they would be lost when I restarted my phone. I resolved this by making the Great_Britain_Map.cfg file not read-only.

I have a similar problem again but this time its the general options that I lose. If I change any option in TTM5 it is lost next time I start the phone, for example if I set the volume to 100% it defaults back to 70% next time round. Is there another file that may be read-onloy that I need to change?

Any help is much appreciated, its driving me mad.

The settings are stored in the navigator.cfg file stored in the Tom Tom directory
