|
|
I did search (I promise) but could not find a satisfactory answer:
In TT5, I am now very familar with the navigation features and can use it to navigate quite nicely.
However, most of the time, I know where I want to go and don't require support from Jane or Tim. However, I would like to have the speed camera database running so that, should my concentration lapse, I will be informed of the speed cameras.
I would like to run the PPC is a mode which simply shows me where I am and doesn't try to navigate me anywhere. This feature was obvious in TT3 but I cannot find out how to display the normal map that tracks where I am in TT5.
I wonder if somebody could tell me how to navigate to it? !!
Many thanks |

unfortunately the map screen does not keep track of your position in tt5 without refreshing the small arrowed icon above the zoom in/out bar.
The only way to show your position is in the 3d view which will alert you to poi's if you have that feature enabled ( just make sure that the check box on the 'just show poi's on route' is unchecked) |

Just don't put a route in or clear the current route,
You should uncheck the 'Only Warn When On Route' for POI's so you still get Camera warning's,
If you still want to have directions and no sound, but still have POI warnings then there is a Silent Voice On here somewhere,

If you stay in the Navigation screen but select 'Turn off 3D Display' in the Change Preferences menu, you have the equivalent of the map view in TTN3 and it will track your position... :D |

Thanks for your help everyone,
I just deleted the current route plan and it now works fine.
