Nemesis GB are the UK distributors for Brodit - what you may not realise is that they do retail sales of Proclips and cradles too. Very helpful on the 'phone, ordered a cradle and clip on Friday and they arrived first thing Monday. No online ordering though as far as I know (only a problem if you feel it's a drawback to have to speak to a real person!). Recommended. |

Used them last week, following this comment.
Really good buying experience, even to the extent that someone wandered off to the warehouse to check that the unit I wanted was in stock.
They called me back to say it was and the purchase was made.
Unit delivered the next day.
Really good service.
Definitely recommended. |

no online sales, friendly telephone sales with real people and ability to check stock levels. Do they not realise that in 2005 this is unacceptable, we demand poor service, online sales, no inidication of stock levels etc etc.
Let hope they continue to buck the trend! _________________ -----------------------------------------------------------

I thought it was time to post some replies to the comments made about Nemesis, so here we go.

While we are the UK distributors for Brodit, we no longer sell directly to retail customers. With this in mind, if a retail customer phoned up we will still check stock and discuss the customers requirements whilst on the phone to the customer - the customer would then either be given the number for the retail outlet or their number taken and the retail outlet would phone the customer back

Our website is currently being redeveloped. This will have much more content and an online ordering section for account holders only.

According to statistics produced by Canalys, Aug. 2005, Destinator Europe is the No. 1 in the PDA navigation market in the UK. Destinator is never going to be favourite for everyone and everyone is entitled to their own opinion but have you even read the manual or spent any time actually using the software.
Postcode search is available as are many other features that other software doesn't have. The most recent one that has been proved is that Destinator will work correctly with PDA/Phone car kits. Issues have been found where other navigation software permenantly mutes the car stereo when the navigation program is running. Destinator only sends a mute signal when it needs to issue a navigation command.
Also, refering to an earlier comment - are you a trade customer or an end user?
If you are a trade customer then you will have an account manager that can discuss issues like this with you. Also you will have a copy of our terms and conditions that state we will accept returns but there are certain conditions that need to be met.
If you are an end user, then you didn't purchase the software from Nemesis and you should contact the company you bought it from to discuss this further.

I'm glad to see that we are 'breaking the rules' regarding poor customer service and general help. We will be going down the route of online sales (to account customers only!) soon, hopefully this will impress more people than it upsets but rest assured that you will still be able to pick up the phone and speak to a real person, if your really lucky you might even get me :D

I must have misinterpreted what had happened when I ordered then: the lady I spoke to at Nemesis did indeed give me another number, but said it was the number of your retail sales department. |
