Howdy. I have an iPaq 1945 and a Belkin F8T051 Bluetooth GPS. Everything has been working fine for months. Last month I went to Hawaii so I installed the maps, and off I went. When I got to Hawaii it didn't work. Even though I connect to the GPS, which shows I am connected with great signal strength, every time I try to map a destination it just says "waiting for signal from GPS". Now that I am back home, I reinstalled the California maps, and the result is the same.

I connect to the GPS using the BT Manager prior to launching the Navigation software. When I go to "Status" it shows I am connected, with a "just right" signal. I launch the software, set my starting point, but when I set a destination and tell it to navigate, I get "waiting for GPS signal", which it apparently never gets. It just seems like the GPS is not sending out any signals.

Just to double-check that I can connect to the GPS, I had my PC discover it and connect. However, when I go under the properties for the GPS and go to Services, there are no services listed -- should there be?

What happened?! Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help!!
P.S. - I uninstalled everything and did a fresh installation - same results.
