Has anybody gone through the agony of doing this update yet. I would be interested in any comments on the improvements before I venture forward, and lose all my programs and have to reinstall them etc.
Regards

I was just considering doing the update but was wondering whether re-installing TT2 would count as a second installation? The Tomtom web site seems to indicate that the serial number should be stored on the hard drive of the PC, so I suppose in that case it should not be a new install. Of course, I would have to remember which PC I used! _________________ Jim |

It won't, because TTN2 has been activated against that device once, it will count as a single activation. Activation counts only increase on different devices. |

I did the rom update today and don't appear to have encountered any problems and bluetooth reconnection to the emtac gps seems to have simplified. Previously when reconnecting after having turned off the ipaq I was having to click past a couple of error messages before I could select the gps, even though the devices were properly paired. Now reconnecting to the gps seems very slow in that the bluetooth manager takes an age to find it, but I don't get the error messages so only have to click once on the relevant icon.
I have not seen this problem with the error messages reported before when the reconnect issue was discussed, so it might only have been some problem with my previous set up rather than something that the upgrade has fixed. _________________ Jim |

I am new to this BlueTooth lark, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that a slow connection can be due to pairing information not being present? |

Mine was correctly paired and I always got the choice from my three paired devices (BT GPS, T68i phone and TungstenT) _________________ Jim |
