XDA IIs / Tom Tom5

I have ordered with asking anyone here 1st the following, so if I've got it wrong - be gentle !! :

TomTom5 Navigator
Blue tooth GPS Receiver - NMEA compliant
1Gb SD Card

Couple of questions
1. Any suggestions on tweaks etc to XDA to get best results?
2. As above but for TomTom
3. I am based in Southern Ireland, Cork - anyone know if Tom Tom includes any part of Cork / Ireland so I can test this all out

Only Northern Ireland is on the map, as for the XDAIIs - I have problems with BT GPS unit when using a BT headset, when you finish a call it terminates the GPS, real pain in the neck when on the motorway at speed
so in the end to fix the prblem I use a wired GPS and BT headset - no problems there. If your phone service provider puts an active front end on to the PDA (like O2 do in the UK) don't load it it makes the device unstable - finally one this all XDAIIs suffer from is the no sound when using it as a phone - can be annoying - at first I used to soft reset the deviceto cure the problem but then found out if you turn the bluetooth on then off the sound will return - bizzare - hope this gives you some idea of what to expect - Mike
