USB iCN610

Hi everyone

The more I read the more I learn, and the more I use the better I get, but I still get stuck with some things or just read them but miss the point?

But I`ve noticed in the past that any USB connection should be shut down by selecting the device or program, and waiting for the instruction ` SAFE TO DISCONNECT`. but I have`nt found this for the iCN610. it seems that I just pull out the USB, and the set shuts down, with mo apparent ill effect to the navigator.
I would appreciate if anyone else knows different or is this the norm with this type of euipment?????
