I have my iPaq connected to the PC and I used the Plus service to download additional map colour schemes.

Now I tried out a few and now it doesn't matter what I choose the Navigator view maps are always in greyscale, even my custom POI's.

Any ideas where the "Plug-In Scheme" are stored as I can't locate it!

Or any suggestions on how to resume a colour service on my Navigator view...

I tried selection a default map colour and it appears in Greyscale. I tried reinstalling TTN5 and it's still the same as the plugsins are stored somewhere I can not find - Grr!

Try:

On the storage card is there a folder called "schemes"?
Your additional colour maps may have an extension .clr

The TT5 default set of colour maps seem to be embedded into the program so the schemes folder will probably only contain the extra maps you downloaded.

Try also a soft reset of your PDA after changing the maps colours.

If you have a .clr file you can alter the colours yourself using a program such as Colour_style_edit from http://www.jgeertsma.com/tomtom (select the UK/USA flag in the top right hand corner for the pages in English)

Tomtom 5 displays the map in grayscale colors whenever you don't have a GPS fix.

try planning an A-to-B route and then run the Demo Route option.
That simulates GPS coverage, so now you should see it in colour, even if you are indoors without GPS coverage.

If you don't see colours, then something very strange is going on.

I'm 100% sure before I changed the map colour, on Brittanica the non GPS fixed maps were dark blue in my home location, at the moment they are still grey even with a GPS fix...

Nope, there are only map folders on my SD card.

Actually I had a proper look around the iPaq and on the iPaw itself there is a folder called schemes.

I really hate PPC's sometimes as why they don't follow the file structure like on a PC where everything related to TomTom is in one folder.

Bingo! I have got the Brittanica colours to display again Smile

Cheers guys!
