sd card problem

:D Got my ttg300 todayand managed to install speed camera data ok. But now i would like to copy every thing on to a new 256 Lexar sd card but whichever way i try when installed in ttg i get a red cross over sd card symbol. where am i going wrong?
Have even tried formating then copying direct from ttg to sd card via a card reader.

sorted......

formatted again then copied from saved folder via selecting all in edit screen {think this copies hidden files as well?] then copying to sd card.
now got original as backup and more space on the one in use
