Have mercy, newbie here. I have searched...

Considering TT v5 with the Bluetooth receiver to go with my wife's Treo 650 (Verizon). We also use the Treo with the Bluetooth HandsFreeLink in an Acura TL. One user on Treocentral (who's not been active recently and thus not responded to my question) has posted that with TT v 4.42 or something thereabouts and Sprint 1.08 firmware on the Treo, he could use his BT GPS receiver and the Acura hands free link; when a phone call came in, it would ring through to the car and TT would simply drop the connection to the receiver, then enable him to pick it up when the call was done.

While I haven't been able to find any confirmation of yea or nay on this forum, the majority of the posts seem to suggest that people go with a wired receiver if they want to use a Bluetooth headset with the Treo. Is there a profile difference between a headset and the Acura HFL? Did TT take a step backward from 4 to 5? Was this guy somehow mistaken or less than clear? Thanks for any insight you can give. I may but the thing anyway and if it gets too frustrating, wait for the newer chipset in a wired receiver and then buy that.

Having used both TT4.4 & tt5 with a wired and bluetooth receiver on a gps treo 650 I have found the following:
I use a BT car kit - sony ericsson HCB-300, and if the treo is using the Bt gps receiver, it does not drop tt to receive the call via the car kit.

The treo is the problem - I understand that Bt 1.2 will do this but not the treo's 1.1.
