Silly question, but are the USA maps for TT5? I didn't think they had been issued yet

They seem to be on sale already. But it's a valid question, lammspicy may indeed have tried to use v4 maps - those won't work easily, only after the "fix" in the PNA file.

is this the pna fix ?

You need to edit the content of the .pna file itself as follows:
Locate the .pna file for the map.
Copy that file back to your Desktop computer.
Open the .pna file in a Text Editor (Notepad?).
On the third line, change the version number from "3xx" to "562" [ <- "xx" = whatever number! ]
Save the file and copy it back to the Memory card replacing the original one.

possibly. In the PNA file set the third line to 567

why does the above say 562 ? Does this depend on the version of navigator you have installed ? I have left it at work but can someone tell me how to find out which version I am running if that is the case

thanks

you have to look into the PNA file. The third line identifies the map build. It seems that TTN5 expects at least 562, but will also use higher numbers.

I thought you not only need the pna fix but also a mid file from TTN2004 for the TTN3 maps.

That's because in additional to the pna fix you also need the map_name.mid file from a v4 map.

You need to legally own these maps. We can't help you if you don't.
