|
|
Just got my Go 700 today and am having slight problems with using two phones with it. Everytime I (or my wife, with her phone) wants to use it we have to go through the whole rigmarole (is that how it's spelt?) of re-pairing the phone, which takes ages. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a workaround?
We both have Sony Ericcson K700i's

It's working as designed. TomTom do not expect you to use two phones at the same time, erm, GO. _________________ Lutz

sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear enough. We don't want to use our phones at the same time. We just want to be able to (e.g) I drive the car on Monday - I use my phone. She drives the car on Tuesday - she uses her phone. etc. Everytime it seems that we have to re-pair the phone for each time we swap. _________________ If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice ! |

I really hope someone out there has a solution to this or my wife will soon be cutting off any extranious parts of me that she can get her hands on. I only managed to persuade her to buy this because of the handsfree option - which, as it stands noe - is as good as useless to us? The only other solution I can think of is to buy a cheap 'pay as you go' bluetooth handset and set up the 700 on this and just use this one phone?
Please help a condemed man.
Cheers. _________________ If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice ! |

It now seems that the GO 700 can only 'hold' one pairing at once, which means that I have to re-pair every time my wife drives the car. If this is true, then I'm really dissapointed with it. My pocket PC can have multiple pairings, as can my phone. Does it seem unresonable that the 700 should have this facility as well. After alll, mot families have more than one phone in the household! Hopefully there can (and will) be some future firmware update that will enable the 700 to store more than 1 profile and just swap to whichever phone it detects. I guess that this is possible - I just hope that it is probable? In my mind, this is the only thing that tomtom has overlooked in an otherwise fantastic product. _________________ If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice ! |
