We want to know :-

I'm no expert but .........
If you are only going to use uk maps then you will only need cd01
If you are downloading the maps using activesync it will take a while.
It would be quicker if you had a card reader, there is an option to load to a differnt location / folder.
To make the postcode search work, simply create an empty folder on your sd card called "Tomtom"
Not sure abot the auth codes though
Hope this helps :D

Thanks but I can't even get that far.
At the moment I have copied CD1 to my PC as it would not run directly from the disc. I keep getting half way through loading the maps only you be told that there is a "Disk Access" problem which then disconnects Active Sync and stops the installation after putting the following files on my SD card
cline = 30.9m
Great_Britain = 33b
poi = 1.64m
tmcodes = 177k
traffic = 23b _________________ TomTon One (v2) Europe (with a back up Ipaq 2210 -TT5 (upgraded from 3) & TT BT reciever with fixed TT Car Kit - just in case!) |

[quote="Darryl"
cline = 30.9m[/quote]
This file on my version is 53.2Mb plus
cname = 13.8Mb
cnode = 22.3Mb
faces = 8.03Mb
great_britain.pna = 39b
great_britain-24a02c86 = 15b
great_britain-map.cfg = 9.09Kb
mapinfo = 1.98Mb
setup = 520b
Could be your CD01 is FUBAR !!!
Looks like you could have to resort to trying the TT Helpless desk 8O
Unless anyone on this Forum could help ??

ActiveSync can be a problem.
Try just installing the TTN5 application via ActiveSync.
Then install the map(s) to a folder on your PC.
Then ideally use a card reader to transfer the map(s) to SD card. If you don't have a card reader then use ActiveSync and do a copy and paste to the SD card. |
