I've been using my GB TTN3 and i also bought the USA maps (10 cd's) which i use when abroad.
Does anyone know whether these US maps will work with TTN5.
Thanks |

These will work all you need to do is:
In each map folder edit mapname.pna
eg texas.pna change the number on th 3rd line to read 562 save the file.
Then copy it back to the map folder do this for each map

I have found the pna file you refer to but don't quite understand what you mean by changing the number on the 3rd line to 562. It just shows a load of .DAT files and one .PNA file in a folder and none of them have any numbers in the file name. Is it possible for you to expand please.
Incidentally tomtom support got back to me just now and said that the maps wouldn't work and i will have to upgrade.
Thanks for any assistance you can offer |

xxx,
You need to edit the content of the .pna file itself as follows:
Locate the .pna file for the map.
Copy that file back to your Desktop computer.
Open the .pna file in a Text Editor (Notepad?).
On the third line, change the version number from "3xx" to "562" [ <- "xx" = whatever number! ]
Save the file and copy it back to the Memory card replacing the original one. _________________ Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. |

Many thanks. I follow now. I'll get hold of the upgrade and give it a go. |
