Can anyone offer any suggestions please?
I have just got TTN5 (software-only) to go with my ipaq hx 4700 and BT-338 GPS receiver. I have successfully downloaded the safety camera database and transferred it to my CF card (where my TTN software is stored on my PPC) via my card-reader. The POI's work fine and it is alerting me of safety cameras with no problem using the various sounds but I can't seem to get the spoken warnings working in spite of reading the instructions on the site:
I have checked my software version which is 5.000 (4890) and downloaded the appropriate file of the same name. I found the file "data.chk" in the /tomtom subdirectory as expected and renamed it "COPYOFdata.chk" as per the instructions. I then copied 4890_newdata.chk to the /tomtom subdirectory on my CF card using my card reader and re-named it "data.chk"
This seems to be all I have to do but it doesn't work. Can anyone see what I've missed? I note there are 2 other files called data04.chk and data05.chk in the /voices subdirectory but the only data.chk file I have found was in the tomtom sub directory - which is the one I replaced.
Thanks for any suggestions- and apologies for the length of this post!

The folder that you need to place the new data.chk file in is \program files\navigator |

I managed to get the sounds working and they are great. However I think they should all really have the bing bong before says what they are like it has on the Gatso one. |
