Right, I have TT5, install went well (thanks to some threads on here!). Have it all set up and working.

Initial impressions are that the routing seems to default to the 'easiest' route, ie ignoring roads it is not sure about even when they will be the best route. However in their defence I would say that this probably means you will get to where you want to go Smile

What is most annoying is the slow screen update on complex unctions, roundabouts etc. I can be over the unction and the map is still showing me half way along it, this is very bad on roundabouts and I dread taking it into london.

The PPC is a dell axim 624 dso plenty of grunt, I do wonder if there is a tweak to either increase the gps updates or change the screen refresh (which is normally pretty smooth and good).

Can someone please help?

Thanks

D

the screen seems to scroll more smoothly if you reduce the number of poi's being displayed i.e preferences>manage poi>enable/disable.

I have only speed cameras enabled and it scrolls fairly smoothly. (much better than the default settings)

Switch on as many POIs as you want EXCEPT for the speedcams. Disable all of the speedcams.

Then enable the proximity alert for the speedcams.

Now, only speedcams that are close to your position will flash and show up, and the map will scroll supersmooth!
