I am not sure whether to get the 300 now or wait for the 500.
The 500 has the benefits of double processor speed, ASN, and bluetooth hands free
I am interested to know, would the tomtom benefit from extra processor speed, was the original one ever slow?
Was the ASN any good? |

I WOULD GO FOR THE 500 IF THE FUNDS REACH THAT FAR..I AM JUST AWAITING ON MY SON TO MAKE A PURCHASE. I WILL THEN SEE HOW HIS GOES, AND COMPARE IT TO MY CO-PILOT 4 WHICH HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN |

Don;t buy the 500 for the speed benefits over the 300, I have the 300 and it is really quick - miles faster than TT3 on my IPAQ. If you want the phone then fine but otherwise save your cash. |

Never had any issues with the speed of the original GO...calculates routes in a few seconds, even cross-Europe ones. Sure a faster processor may do it in 3 seconds instead of 5, but when I'm going to be driving for 12 hours I don't care! If you go off the route, it also recalculates in a second or two.
ASN...it's raely kicked in for me, but that's because I don't drive thru many tunnels. The odd time it has kicked in, it seemed to work well enough. |
