Mine took about 3 weeks. Ordered 30th June and received about 19th July. But I believe delivery time are variable. Some have waited 5+ weeks wheras some have had delivery within a week. It's just a case of sitting tight and waiting.

A download service would be good.
What I don't understand is why they provide the maps on 6 CD's.
Have they not heard of a DVD? |

6 CDs sounds a bit odd, but I can imagine it might be something to do with the sales of the map discs on their own - cheaper when made in huge bulk maybe |

CD's are very cheap to produce, even more so when in huge quantities.
Plus remember not everyone has a DVD reader, sure most people do but not everybody. TomTom would have to therefore produce two types of product, one with CD's and one with a DVD. Then they would have to deal with the support calls and returns from people who've ordered the wrong version.
Easier just to bang out CD's. |
