I've just upgraded from Tomtom 3.07 to 5. The GR-231 was working perfectly with my imate jam. Since upgrading I'm having the same issue many others are having with other receivers- "No gps device". I've selected other NMEA cable device, tried the various baud rates but still get nothing! Has anyone used the GR-231 with TT5? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the baud rate/com port problem. Any idea what these were set to in 3?
If all else fails, select Other Wired GPS, and set the BT com port and baud.
My brother has a Jam. Is this an Arm device, and can the regular TTN5 install in it? Any conflict with the bluetooth headset? |

Got my GR-230 working fine with TT5. I've since started playing with GPSGate, so have changed the settings again, but from memory it went just so...
Connect to the GPS first using Bluetooth Manager. (Tap Bluetooth icon at bottom right, then double-tap on the Holux GR-230 icon).
In TomTom I then used what I think were these settings:
GPS type - the one that shows a picture of the Holux GR-230.
Port - There are two Bluetooth ones in the list and you can't see the critical bit, the port number, as it's off the right edge of the screen. Oddly enough it turned out that the one you want - COM8 - was the first of the two, and the other one (COM5) was second.
Speed - I chose 38400. _________________ Barry Davies
