|
|
When using Wired's maps all was OK.
Last week I changed maps for a FRench/Spanish trip, now I've reloaded UK maps and cant get the camera overlay's to work. Tried everything I can think off to no effect. Quest1 running the latest firmware and CN8.
Oh and I am a subscriber downloading the Garmin gpsr maps but wired's map wont work anymore either? |

Obviously that will happen when "Safetycameras UK" is selected from the drop down menu at top left of the Mapsource window but I'm wondering if the overlay IS present in the selection of maps that you are hoping to transfer - ie. if you have selected all the UK and Ireland panes in CNv8 there should be nineteen maps at 173.1MB showing at the bottom of the Maps page, with Pocketgps Uk being one of them |

All maps selected 173 mb still not showing. While I was away I had to do a total reset (on/page/OK) are there some other settings I need to change? |

Amongst those maps can you actually see the "Pocketgps Uk" title displayed? |

If you open a Mapsource file that contains the camera overlay and that you are hoping to transfer to your Quest, can you see the map name "Pockergps Uk" ?[/url] |

Pocketgps is shown in the maps in both places, this is very annoying as it used to work just fine 8O |

Find a GATSO that you know in Mapsource then on the Quest set the scale to 0.2miles and navigate with the rocker pad to that same position - now set the scale to 800ft. Does it now show the camera? |

I have just done that before reading your post and yes the cameras magicaly appear !!!!
I think that previous to my complete reset the scale at which the POI appears must have been manualy set to a couple of miles or so. Since the reset it is on auto, and in ready to navigate mode only appears at 800 feet or less
I will adjust this setting to something more appropriate.
Thanks for your help Kritou :D |

Just answered my own question!
Menu - Settings - Map Setup - Point - POI - Hide above - and I have provisionally set 1.2miles |

If you want the Quest 2 to warn you of POI's, upload them to the Quest 2 with POIloader in *manual* mode and set appropriate warning distances. _________________ Robert Elsinga =8- )
