405BT and Acer N50 Bluetooth help

Hello!

I'm trying to connect my N50 (Pocket PC 2003 SE) to the 405 BT, without success. Can you help me, please?

I have used the BT manager to get the PDA to recognise and pair to the Haicom (as a BT GPS: SPP Slave connection). It connects ok (the blue light on the 405BT stops flashing and I see the connection as active on the manager). However, I cannot get the GPS information program (downloaded from the Haicom site) to receive info from the GPS. When I click on the COM port window, I see the options:
COM 1 Serial
COM 2 USB
COM 3 IrCOMM
COM 4 IrDA
COM 6 Serial 6
COM 7 SerialBT
COM 8 Serial 8

Whatever port I chose, when I click on the "SCAN COM PORT" button the COM window returns to COM 1. Whatever I chose, I can never get to start the GPS data flowing. I have also tried the Pocket Streets program, and it gives me (when I click on START GPS) the message "The communications (COM) port is available, but no signal is being received".

Shouldn't COM8 be the BT one? why is the Haicom program indicating COM7 as "Serial BT"? or is that irrelevant?

Any help will be deeply appreciated. It is SO frustrating to have the gear but not be able to see it working!
