Can I install Maps from TomTom RoutePlanner Europe or CityMaps Europe so that they work with TTN2?
I originally installed Europe Maps with TTNavigator onto a storage card on an IPAQ 5450. Having upgraded to TTN2 I have reinstalled them , but going to Map -> File -> Switch map , I receive a message "No other maps installed"
The Europe RoutePlanner has a serial no 70802.713.
Any help appreciated.

Unfortunately not, the RoutePlanner and CityMap maps will not work in TomTom Navigator 2. |

True, TTN2 Will not read RoutePlanner maps, However, I have TTN2 Benelux and TT RoutePlanner 2002 (V3.1) with High detail Western Europe map installed on the same iPaq. I run TTN2 Benelux and TT RoutePlanner at the same time and switch between them using the hardware buttons. With the RoutePlanner I get an overview of where I am while TTN2 gives me directions and the 3D view. Also when in the RoutePlanner view, I still get voice navigation from TTN2. Great! _________________ Many true words are spoken through false teeth. |

Can you get both running with the GPS at the same time ? I remember back to using CityMaps and RoutePlanner that the two would fight for priority over the GPS and one would then exit, so you used to have to disable the GPS on one of the programs. Now that TomTom are using a single GPS Driver program, it might be possible to run them both side by side with GPS support. |

Yes you can, I have been doing this since V1.50. I used to have TTN1, TT RoutePlanner, and TT CityMaps all running at the same time and all using the same GPS driver. Now I only have TTN2 and TT Routeplanner running and navigating at the same time. Try it.

Oh I forgot to mention, I use the Navman Jacket with TomTom Software. Maybe that needs to be taken into consideration. It works for me. _________________ Many true words are spoken through false teeth. |
