I'm looking for a GPS program that I can use when riding (horses) or walking. Preferably on a mobile (currently Nokia 6600) or Garmin eTrex as I have one ! In order that I can follow often terribily marked bridle paths. For obvious reasons a laptop (with say the OS maps from Fu ??? ) is rather hard to handle & my PDA has no bluetooth functionality. Although I have a bluetooth CF card I then can't use the maps etc on the CF card !!!

Help !!!

Also anyone know a rugged mobile with bluetooth the siemans & nokia offers have everything but !

thanks

There is no solution for mobiles that offers OS mapping currently. Memory-Map, Anquet and Fugawi offer OS mapping for PC and PDA and this is currently the only solution available.

www.tracklogs.co.uk
www.fugawi.com
www.hillwalker.org

As I said, there is no solution that runs on a mobile phone as yet. There are solutions that run on PocketPC's and PocketPC Phones such as the XDA's etc but none that runs on Nokia or other cellphones.

Do you have any links? The Power Navigator I found is for road navigation.

I'm new at this but it sounds like you can import a map, plan a route and then use it for that ? So my assumption is if you had a OS map say you might be able to plan the bridle route you need then load it into the phone

GPRS? You do mean GPS don't ya ;) To be honest we have too many forums as it is, if sufficient demand existed we would consider it but at present there isn't any.
