Maps of western europe. can't activate

I have just got a tom tom go 300 with great britain map and have just purchased maps of western europe along with a new sd card (512m) i have loaded map of france onto new card and i gao through activation but comes up with wrong code for map. Can anyone help.

We have all e-mailed tomTom but friday was a national holiday in Holland. Hoping for a reply and solution from them on Monday.

E-mail them, via the tomTom site/ support/ and add your weight to the cause.

Thanks for that, i have already e-mailed them but didn't know it was a holiday. I have since looked on the cd case that they came in and it doen't say any where that you can't use them on the 300

The rest of us can't use them on the original GO. I think the product codes are wrong, or that TomTom have got the website updated for generating codes for the new maps and forgotten about the old ones.

More than likely they forgot that there were still copies of the old maps out there for sale, with any luck come Monday TTG will (I live in hope) have the problem sorted :D

I will be seriously disappointed if I have to go on holiday without them.

I would expect a free upgrade to the newer maps at least as compensation.........maybe even a 700 :D

I've got the same problem.
My Maps of Western Europe activation code doesn't work on my TomTom Go (Classic version)

I was also planning to upgrade to the latest version of the maps, but it says my product is not valid for an upgrade. One thing I did notice was that the ttcode website thinks my product code is for the 2005 version of the maps, but I have the old ones !!

I'm off on holiday next week, which is why I bought the maps

Best thing to do is use the email technical bods at TTG, give them the following information:

1. Your TTG Product Code
2. The MOWE CD Product Code
3. The Authorisation No that the TTG Web Site gives to activate the maps

Explain to them that the codes are for the old maps and not the 205 edition, then sit back and wait. As to how long this is going to take, no one knows for sure.

With any luck we should have an answer tomorrow, most of us are on the MyTomtom Go forum Here

Funny you should say that i have today received an e-mail requesting that very info, so here's keeping everything crossed as i too am going to france and need to use them .

Well after 1 phone call and an angry email, I finally got my new product code. All installed and working a treat, just wait till next month and order the updates :D

I have had the same luck, a couple of e-mails and i received a new Product id and all is fine again in the world of tom tom. I don't suppose you want to pass on the phone number as this might be useful in future..
