I Know this has been covered in part before but i cant make it out.
Can someone give me an idiots guide to coping my favourites from my current sd card to the new update sd (when it arrives). Are the updates just that or will there contain the full maps etc?

Dont know if it is possible to copy favourites straight over. One way of doing it though would be to change your favourites to POIs. These can be copied. Put the POIs into a new catogary.

Now connect TTG to your PC then go to my computer -> tomtom go -> open the folder with the name of whichever regonal map you use and find the .ov2 file with the same name as your POI catogary and copy this file to the same folder on new card.

The POI catogary should then be on new map. POIs can then be changed backto favourites.

Sure there must be an easier way though. Some one else will prob let us know!

The Favourites and Home location information is stored in the .cfg file in the map folder. I know this can be copied to different map folders, using the present maps, but whether it is the same format with the new maps I don't know.

If you delete the file, you get the default (as new) information but TTG still works.
