hi,

First, sorry for my English, I 'm French....
Yesterday i'm received my gps hi-204e, ... after having read manual , I connected gps receiver to my pda, dell axim 3xi.
Wait 20 min for the Time to First Fix .... and LED indicator continues flashing !!!!!!!!!
No sat , no tracking.

I also tested on my laptop, IBM 570e, but it is similar....

After six hours of exterior 's test, my gps is always with 24°N/121°E... no fix , no sat ,.... and time passes...

This morning ,I 've to contact HAICOM and my retailer, i wait an answer .

Please Help me ... Laughing Out Loud

...If not, the mouse will return to it ...

Have you guys tried the RESET FACTORY DEFAULT in the Haicom Viewer Utility?

Or a COLD RESTART in the same utility.

Also Query the firmware Revision to see if you can communitcate with it.

A first fix from factory defaults should take less than 20 minutes in good conditions. After the first fix, it should be able to cold start in less than 1 minute.

Sorry to ask silly questions, but:

Are you outdoors in a place where your receiver has a GOOD view of 75% of the sky in all directions (not obscured by buildings, trees etc)?

If you are using the GPS in your car, does your car have a heat reflecting windscreen which is blocking the GPS signal?

If it is "flashing" it has a fix

make sure you have the correct com port set up etc to comunicate with it.
