Hi All
I have just purchased a icn 510.
Have sorted every thing out, but I have a question for you all.
Is there a powered speaker on the market that I can use to increase the output sound? I am spoilt because my ipaq system has a Arkon powered mount which is very good. I would like to achieve the same level of sound for the 510. I am using the ipaq in another vehicle, so some other means of amplified sound is a must.
I have tried a Arkon wireless audio adapter, its ok but you cannot listen to anything but the channel it’s tuned into.
Regards.

Thumbs Up

You can plug any external speaker into the socket on the unit. Most are cheap to buy or as someone here suggested, if you have a car stereo with an input jack you can use that.

Hi

Give Maplin a try http://www.maplin.co.uk
They have a lot of small walkman apmplified speakers and extension cables.

Also Argos sell some small Sony units.

Most seem to be battery powered which is fine

As the last member suggested, try Maplins...I bought one of their " Communication Speakers " and it cost £4.99. Works very well with my 510. Best of luck in your choice.
