Whilst trying to find a POI to navigate to within a category listing a lot of POIs, I came across a problem. The TTG only seems to list the first 40-60 POIs within a category, so if there are for example 150 in the category, they're not all listed. It seems to list them by distance from your current location, or from your home location if you can't get a signal.

I wanted to navigate to a POI about 250miles away from my location, but the number of POIs within the category list was apparantly too long and so it only displayed the first 40-60. The only way I could find it was by using the keyboard and typing in the exact name of the POI - not particularly helpful if you can't remember what it's called, and confusing in that you know it's in the category but can't see it!

Has anyone else come across this problem, and is there a solution apart from splitting catagories down even more (but then you hit the limit for number of categories!).

If you want to try it, download one of the long lists from POI categories on this site and try navigating to somewhere a couple of hundred miles away by going Navigate To->POI->select the category and scroll down.

You could navigate to the town near the POI and when you get close to it, navigate to the POI you want.

Thanks, I didn't realise you could do that.
