Hi all,
I've just got a wired TomTom reciever and I've connected it to my XDAII but it asks me which 'port' I've plugged the reciever into. It gives me the following choices.

Infrared Port
COM 4
COM 5
BT on COM6
Serial Cable on COM1
COM9
Serial on USB
Bluetooth GPS (I know it's not this one)

Any help you can give will be greatly recieved. I can be contacted on station21@hotmail.co.uk ...All emails will be acknowledged. Thank you very much.

Hi fire032,

Welcome to the forum.

I can't help you with your problem I'm afraid, but I have changed the size of the font in your post back to the normal size.

I did this because if you post the whole of your message in such large font it makes it very difficult to read and means people have to scroll down the page to read something which should really be visible in one page. Thumbs Up

Regards,

Bo Peep.

COM1 is the sync port on the bottom so for a GPS Mouse it is 'Serial Cable on COM1' that you need.

On the XDA's be sure to disable 'receive all incoming beams' in Start > Settings > Connections > Beam as this prevents access to COM1 if enabled on the XDA series.
