Hi,
I am getting to grips with MM on my Mio168. I created a route on the PC and transferred it to the PDA, where it appears as a blue line with dots for the waypoints.
Apart from displaying on the screen can one do anything else with a route?
There does not seem to be any option to activate a route such that one might get info about cross track errors, bearing to next waypoint, etc.
Maybe they are not needed as one has a constantly updated position displayed on the map. _________________ Leigh

I think, if I remember correctly, you tap and hold on the route and then you'll get a menu - select 'Follow route'.
Hope this is it- mine isn't fired up at present so without a GPS signal I don't think it'll do it!!
I did get it to do it on holiday - all the info bearing to next waypoint, time to Wp, etc etc. so it will do it!!

Rod,
Thanks for reply, I don't know why I had failed to notice the first item on that menu!!
I will try it out on my next outing _________________ Leigh

No worries, I love MM, but its not exactly the most intuituve to find everything on it - me I do love a good manual/handbook <starts putting on anorak >

Come on Rod that spoils all the fun. No doubt it would also put the price up. Surely it is much better trying to rationalise the bug as something the developer really meant to put in there. :P _________________ Mike Barrett |

Oh yes, but sometimes its nice to know what it is supposed to do. Whats even more fun is following the manual and the software still won't do what its supposed to .
Seriously, yes it would put the cost up, and anything to keep cost down is good in my eyes, and once you realise there's possibly other menus by tapping and holding, or right clicking on PC's etc, it amazing what you can find 8)

Mike,
See what i mean about a manual - if I'd had one to read here I wouldn't have got the quotes back to front |
