Hi all,

I have recently purchased an XDA 2 and the Tom Tom 3 navigator that works via bluetooth. I have set them up and they appear to work extremely well, I am very pleased.

However, I keep seeing these links to speed camera databases and would like to put one on my xda. I have recently bought a 512mb sd card, but when I look at the links for downloading ie warnerpoint, checkpoint etc I get a headache because I haven't a clue what they are. All I want are the camera databases.

Could anyone please in plain simple terms explain what I need to do to load this stuff up ( do I need to use the extra card or can it be added to the map card that came with the tt navigator?)

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help this technology challenged duffer! Embarassed

The speed camera database from this site is a set of POIs that you can load onto TT3. they are stored on your storage card in the Great_Britain folder. There are two files for each set of POIs, a BMP and an OV2 file. You can save these and see them on your map/navigator screen as any other POI.

CheckPOInt and the similar programmes once loaded run in the background, and look for these POIs (or any others that you may wish)and when you approach, you can get it to play warnings at various intervals.

Simple as that!!

Steve.
