Hi guys! I'm totally new to GPS and PPC. I'm using Palm TT2 right now. I want to upgrade my PDA and I want to get a GPS system. It seems that having a PPC with GPS is a nice money saving idea.

I live in New York and travel about 20-70 miles around the city. Occasionally I go to Boston - 650 miles. I will need a BT system. I need a pretty fast rerouting system for city drive.

I want to spend up to $1000 for the whole system. Can you recommend me the receiver and software?

I'm interested in Garmin GPS 10 - however, it's "MapSource City Select" not "City Navigator with Autoroute basemap" as found on StreetPilot 2620.

Can you please help me to spend my money wisely?

PS. Both HP and Dell are sold with prebundled GPS sogtware and receiver, are these any good?
