Hiya - yup the BBB has returned and thanks all for contributions in the past and recent too.

My present conundrum is GPS BT - absence from the forum means that the link between RBT3000 and Pretek BT GPS & datalogger has missed me by so I am sorta on catch up.

If I bought the BT GPS & datalogger could I move it into another case?

I'd hope to make the new case a 2 compartment job
1st part waterproof and holding the electronics

2nd part waterproof and holding AAA NiMH's which I hope to power the unit

I gues modern 21st C modularity means that it would not be too demanding a skill (fingers crossed) but it would provide me with what I seek namely a BT GPS & datalogger powered by AAA NiMH's

It is good to be back and I hope all are well

OK - I bought it because of the postive reviews it had in this thread (?)

It looks like it may indeed need to be cannibalised once the battery goes dud - unless I use it wholly within vehicle.

On the other hand sensitivity and ability to hold on to GPS incoming data is or seems to be excellent.

And the datalogging? A dream to use.

Has anyone heard if the RF unit in these devices is a bit iffy?
