Hi,
First post...
As subject states,
I would like to get Speed Camera POI on my route66 mobile, even better with a display of the speed limits...
Is this at all possible?
Thanks. |

route66 at the moment DON`T support POI
so simple answer is no ya can`t use the speed camera database with route66
it is rumoured that route66 may in future give a update supporting POI _________________ iPhone 3Gs 32GB

I emailed them, and their reply seemed to suggest they had no intention of putting speed cameras in - though if enough potential customers email them then they might reconsider. |

As a thought I wonder if anyone has had a look at their software for the installed POIs with the intention of 'replacing' a certain type of POI with the speed cam database? |

If you are using an A1000, then use nhgps with speed camera database loaded in that.
Route 66 uses the external gps and nhgps uses the internal one.
Start nhgps (www.nhgps.com) first, get a fix and you are off. You do not need any maps loaded, just the speed camera database (www.think3g.net)
Then start Route 66 and navigate your route.
Route 66 will give voice and visual route directions whilst nhgps gives verbal speed camera warnings.
Pretty clever eh! |

...but with a p910i, I'm out of luck?
Which software does, POIs, TMC, up-to-date maps and 3D views? |

Wondered if anyone new whether or not the latest version of Route 66 does now support POI's, and therefore the Speed Camera Database? |

No it doesn't.
It does display petrol stations, but not the speed camera data base.
I sent customer support an E-mail to ask about that and they said nope, and they don't even know if it will be in a later release.
They just told me to keep ching the NEWS item on the route 66 web site.
