Hi,
I just got the HP Navigation pack (even after reading all the negative things said about it ) and it suits my purposes quite nicely. I'll miss the option to select the shortest route, but not often. Anyhow, the SD card that comes with it is 128meg, and is full with the TomTom stuff on it. I've got a 256meg card that I'd like to put it on, leaving me a bit of space for some other stuff.
I tried copying the contents of one card to the other, but then TomTom won't start. I tried doing an install from the CD, but again, TomTom won't start.
What am I doing wrong? All help gratefully appreciated. Cheers.

Hi Andy,
How have you copied the SD card? Did you use iPAQ in the cradle and MS ActiveSync or did you use a card reader?
You might have problems using ActiveSync, so I would use a card reader. Copy the whole of the card to a new folder on your PC and then copy the entire contents of that folder back to the new card.
If you haven’t got a card read/writer then you can pick one up from PC World/Dixons/Currys for no more than £30. If you shop around you can get them for much less. Ensure that you get a card reader that does SD/CF/MMC and any other card type that you may ever use.

Andy,
What you are describing is the correct way to do things. If you installed the software from the CD onto the 256 MB card then it should work. Did you use CD2 or CD4 for the installation?
CD2 only installs the maps. CD4 installs the TomTom Navigator application.
What make of SD card are you using? _________________ Mike Barrett |
