Hi all !

I've got an orange SPV m1000 (same as XDA 2)

I've just bought a fortuna bluetooth GPS as I was fed up with my tomtom bluetooth (gone faulty twice now) :x

I've paired the items up no problem, stuck the fortuna by my window and received a satellite signal no problem (green LED) but I can't get a signal in the tomtom "GPS" set up screen (on the status tab) Question

I've set my reveiver as "TomTom wireless" and the port as COM5 (as this is what it said it will use when pairing up the items) but still no signal, however satellite LED and power LED are still green with the bluetooth one flickering away so all looks good Confused

Am I using the wrong settings? I've tried a few others but still no luck

Your help would be much appriciated

Also, am I going mad or can you not change the fortuna to ST mode? When I turn it on the slider automatically goes into XT mode, turn the slider to ST but it also turns the thing off ! (maybe this is a feature not available in the Uk?) 8O

thanks !

Paul

Pairing the devices is not required. What you need to do is subscribe to the serial port of the receiver (you do that from the BlueTooth manager). You should end up with a shortcut listing this service for the Fortuna.

We have a review up for the Fortuna explaining how to switch back and forth between ST and XT. Look in the reviews section.
