Hi
I have an ipaq 1940 with Tom Tom Nav 3 bluetooth I would appreciate any help from anyone who has experienced setting up this system as im new to gps/bluetooth.

my version OF TOM TOM 3 is driver V3.03 415 0. On GPS status shows 2005 01 26 or 8 I don't know if this an 8 as the figure is so small I don't know if this of relevance to you.

The problem has been a real pain constantly losing the sat pickup, navigator not starting and when it does saying GPS position unreliable, maps not loading (freezing)or when they do only for a second or so, constantly having to soft reebot.

When using the wizard to setup and locate a connection it says connection could not be made, but in bluetooth manager active outgoing connection is made??? but no incoming connection.

Im sure this can only be a teething problem as from the reveiws that I have read about tom tom 3 Bluetooth, it is very user freindly this why I purchased it in the first place, so please please can you help
many thanks Confused
Gary

Cannot tell you specifics as my Ipaq 1940 has gone over to the other side,
(it appears that I have knocked it at some point, possibly when in my work bag, and damaged the LCD screen rendering it useless without £122 for a new screen).

However I had been using this system (Ipaq 1940 TT3 Bluetooth) since January 2004 and was very happy with it.

I regularly had to do a soft reset before I could get the BT connection to make and unlike many others on the forum running the 2210's with bluetooth I never had any problems with it locking up. I only used the TT and diary options on the PDA though.

I had the speed camera and postcode databases on the system.

Hope you resolve your issues as it is great when it is working ok

Regards

Alan
