My own voice recording

Sorry for asking this question if it has been discussed before....

I have recorded new WAV files to replace Tomtom's files, and copied them to the Navigator directory on my Ipaq2210, but there seems to be a problem. When I tried to test it every time the application tried to use one of the new files it crashed out, and I had to restart it. Is there something special about tomtom's own files? I used the same names, and if I play the files as WAV files on the Ipaq they play fine.

I tried tomtom's helpline, but they just referred me to their website and their own alternative voices.

Can anyone help please?

The .wav files TomTom uses are 16bit, 22Khz mono PCM files. Make sure you use the correct sample rate (22Khz) and that they are mono.
