I have just purchased a Medion MDPNA150, whilst I am reasonably pleased with it, the map data does seem to be out dated. I have had a play with Navtec (Branded Medion) Navigator 4.2, but I think this will only work with Pocket PC, not Windows CE?
Does anyone know of more recent map data?
Have emailed Medion a few days ago........still waiting!!
Thanks to anybody who can help. |

Hello d3mje
Medion usually use Navigon GPS software, Navtec are one of the mapping companies that supply map data.
If this is what you see in this link then you have the latest/current version of the software from Navigon:

Maps seem to be update between 6-36 months depending on the supplier.

Thanks for the info. The mapping which I tried is Navigon, not navtec, as you rightly suggested. I took a look at the link you sent, and came to the conclusion that I don't hve the latest software. My system does not give next but one turn or TMC data. Some of the soft options, such as zoom & pan are controlled by a joystick on the MDPNA 150.
Cheers. |

Hello d3mje
I notice from your first post that you said you are using Navigator 4.2, that is the currect version, the Medion version of the software will look different on different systems, if you have a look on the link below you can see that again it has not got all of the features that are shown on the Navigon image, but that is the current version for that model.

I am running Medion Navigator version 3.1 as supplied. The 4.2 version I have tried will install, but won't run on my MDPNA ( still trying to sort that out). I have followed the advice of another forum member (Jones8430) regarding the maps and data on the CD being more up to date than those pre-installed on the memory card.
Thanks for your advice.

Why do you think the map data is out of date? I am testing a PNA150 and it has the latest available TeleAtlas map data including the M6 Toll? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Last Saturday, it tried to send me on to the M4 instead of continuing southbound on the M5!!. And 1 or 2 anonmalies closer to home, i.e. roads missing. The later maps from the CD seem to have taken care of these issues however.
Thanks for your interest.
