I think I have committed all the sins described in John's warning save pulling out the SD card when switched on.
I have experienced no problems. |

Generally speaking you can insert and eject any kinds of media into media sockets without any ill cause, the only time that you can see a problem is if the card is being written to at the time you eject the card as this can cause damage to the data and create CRC errors, but that's really the only time you'll get any problem. |

Utter Rubbish.
I've been connecting and disconnecting while powered since i got mine, and the sd card pulled in and out while changing from one country to another,no problems. As said above, it's only whilst it's writing to the card, can problems occure, and that's while it's connected to a PC.
Plus why are you shouting, turn you cap lock off. |

I agree Delboy, but I was trying to be gentle! After all, the only other posting from John says he is not a computer wiz kid and needs help with the speed camera database. But he is an expert in radio and GPS.
I can't imagine why he felt it necessary to broadcast his warning, but I, for one, will be ignoring it. |
